After a blistering East-coast tour in 2010, Switchfoot are back again for a very special, one-off Sydney show this April. With comparisons to arena-rocking bands like Coldplay and Snow Patrol, the San Diego quintet has cemented their place in modern rock and has developed a well-deserved reputation for a very impressive live show along the way.
Rarely does a rock band combine explosive guitars with an intense longing for meaning. With seven critically acclaimed albums, one reaching double platinum, Grammy nominations and countless other awards under their belt, Switchfoot have never been one to let genres and categorisation hold them back. Switchfoot play their diversity as strength and deliver punchy rock music with their signature positivity and uplifting sound that is “full of effortlessly arching melodies and textures that shift in continual, sensual motion” (hollywoodjesus.com). Frontman Jon Foreman’s crowd interaction makes for an involving and intimate experience, while his speaker-climbing antics and the band’s trio of guitars guarantee fans a rocking good time.
